Russell Lawrence
CPA, Managing Partner
I grew up in Mobile, Alabama and have lived in Tampa, Florida since 2013, where I’ve built my practice around working with people I genuinely enjoy helping. I never set out to create a large, impersonal accounting firm. The goal was always something smaller, more thoughtful, and easier for clients to work with.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Alabama and completed additional coursework at Louisiana State University to meet CPA exam eligibility requirements. I began my career in public accounting, spent time in a few corporate accounting roles, and eventually found my way back to public accounting. Along the way, it became clear that most people are not looking for complicated explanations or accounting jargon. They want clear answers, practical advice, and someone who actually responds. That’s where I believe our firm truly provides value.
Today, I work primarily with individuals and small business clients, helping them stay compliant, make better decisions, and feel confident about their numbers. My approach is efficient, straightforward, and practical. No overcomplicating things and no unnecessary back and forth.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me golfing, running, or spending time with my family. My wife, Julie, and I have two boys, Brody and Owen, plus our two English bulldogs, Freddie and Romeo, who keep our household busy and full of energy.
Rory Vanderbilt
EA - Partner
My name is Rory Vanderbilt, and I began my accounting career on Long Island, New York, where I built a strong foundation in public accounting. I started out in audit but quickly realized my passion was in tax preparation and consulting. For more than 10 years now, I’ve focused on helping individuals and small business owners navigate their taxes with clarity and confidence.
My approach to tax prep is simple: I believe taxes shouldn’t feel intimidating or overly complicated. I focus on keeping things straightforward and easy to understand so my clients always know what’s happening and why. I also enjoy teaching basic accounting and tax principles along the way, because when you understand your numbers, everything runs more smoothly and the whole process becomes more efficient. I’ve been an Enrolled Agent for the past three years, which allows me to represent clients before the IRS and stay current on the ever-changing tax laws. This certification reflects my commitment to providing accurate, compliant, and high-quality service to every client I work with.
In 2017, I moved to Florida after marrying my wife, Lindsay. We’re raising our two kids, Sutton and Wes, and have made Florida home both personally and professionally. Family is a big part of my life, and it shapes how I work with my clients, with patience, honesty, and a long-term mindset. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, playing with my kids, golfing, exercising, or hanging out with friends. I believe in keeping a healthy balance between work and life, and I bring that same energy into my client relationships. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to help individuals and small business owners feel confident about their finances by providing dependable service, clear communication, and a tax experience that feels personal, professional, and stress-free.

Jessica Bryson
Accountant
My name is Jessica Bryson, and I have called the Tampa Bay area home for over sixteen years. Before that, I grew up in various locations along the East Coast as part of a Navy family, an experience that helped shape my adaptability, discipline, and strong work ethic.
In 2023, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida Southern College, where I also minored in biology and pre-law. During my time at FSC, I was an active member of the Division II softball team, competing as an outfielder, and I was proud to be recognized as an NFCA All America Scholar Athlete while consistently earning a spot on the Dean’s List. I was also a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity, where I served as Director of Enrichment, a leadership role focused on personal development, education, and member engagement. In addition, I completed volunteer work with Guardian ad Litem in Polk County, supporting advocacy efforts on behalf of children in the local court system.
Following the completion of my bachelor’s degree, I began my career in tax accounting while continuing my education. In March 2025, I earned my Master of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from LSU Shreveport. I am currently studying to obtain my CPA license.
Outside of work, I stay busy at home with my dog, Rogue, and a few cats. When I am not working or studying, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and maintaining an active lifestyle. I love exploring new places, both around the Tampa Bay area and beyond.
